Charisma Cardz challenge week 37 - Favourite colour combo

Wow, favourite colour combo. Mine seems to change all the time, I'm quite into lemon yellow and grey, then orange and brown. I'm too fickle, but pink and black is a classic combo that I use all the time so I had to use it for this challenge. I have used this lovely, cute image from this week's sponsor Stamp Fairy, using some new techniques to get a textured furry look on Linda the teddy. So the techy bit... use your blender pen on a scrap peice of fabric, then stamp the fabric on the image where you want the texture... simples really ;) it is subtle but goes to show there's more to markers than blending and shadows.
I hope you share your fave colour combos with us at Charisma Cardz this week as I am in need of some inspiration myself, and let me know if you try stamping textures with your blender or if you have any better techniques I can try ;)

playing with promarkers

I coloured the background for this one following a copic tutorial on youtube, and it is so hard to get a perfect colour match so it is a bit hit and miss, but I am pleased with the finished article. I love colouring stamps but often the hard work is done for you in the image, but with this background you have to get a bit arty and experiment with light and texture. I think next time I will outline the clouds in a cool grey 2, I used cool grey 4 and it is far too dark. Tbh I only used 4 because it had a fine tip on already and I was being lazy :(

I wish I could remember all the colours I used on the sky, like a numpty I didnt write it down but if I remember correctly it was denim, pastel blue and cornflower for the fluffy clouds and rockpool, duck egg and morning mist with pastel blue as the sea/horizon line. (morning mist is the one I am not 100% sure of so if you want to experiment go for it ;)

I'd like to enter this one into

Where have I been???

Hello, I have been quiet on this blog for a little while but I've been on pinterest, Facebook and odd forums here and there. But stay tuned for some exciting news tomorrow and fingers crossed some BLOG CANDY in the next week or two :) It will be my first ever blog candy so bare with me lol. It won't be life changing but it will be a nice addition to the winners stash.
I have been quiet for a few months so I will give you an update on what I have been up to. I am starting back at college next week studying for my level 2 Teaching assistant qualification. I am at school tomorrow helping in the year one class so I am really looking forward to that. I have had a card in quick cards magazine (the one on this post) and I have made about 20 Christmas cards so far thanks to Hunkydory doing a lot of the work for me lol. It's been an eventful couple of months lol

So watch this space tomorrow for my news and thanks for reading ;)
