1st shaker card attempt

It isn't fabulous but I have experimented with techniques on this card and I have found out that I suck at flocking (the blue band on the hat and dress) it just goes clumpy and looks pants close up, and also I am not cut out for shaker cards either. I will keep trying though I was given a load of snowflake confetti I was going to use for xmas shaker cards. I used an old polythene bag from some stickers or peeloffs instead of acetate and little flower sequins and glitter. the greeting was printed off the pc and the bag is stamped and dress and hat are some over the top holographic pink peeloffs I've come by somehow.

fathers day

I'm starting early on my cards as June is a busy month for birthdays. This is one I've made using k&co papers and the palm tree image is from http://tracysdesigns.blogspot.com/ I used a free font for the greeting too from Dafont.com. I am becoming quite a thrifty character

new stamp

I have finally used one of the new stamps I bought at the max papercraft show the other week. It's very sweet Nutshells image. I have used some more of the free papers from cardmaking and papercraft and a bit of lace for a finishing touch

flower fairy

This card is for my mum in law from my little boy using the freebies from a magazine last month and paper from K&Co that I diecut small squares from and inked the edges. It's been a busy day for me today, very creative indeed hehe.

animal card challenge on Craftbubble

This card is for the craftbubble animal card challenge. The decoupage is from Patchwork kingdom, the cupcake papers were free with a magazine and the floral papers are K&co. I don't have any scallop nestabilities yet(fingers crossed for xmas lol) so I punched little circles and stuck them to the back of the large circle the badger is on. doesn't look as neat but doesn't look as flat as it would without I hope :)

George and the Dragon

There is a challenge on Craftbubble for a fairy tale themed card. I don't really have any stash that fits in with the theme and am credit crunched this month so cant afford to buy anything else (holidays next week need all my cash for icecreams and facepaints, for Jim not me obviously lol)
So I drew my own characters and I am quite pleased with my little knight. My little boy calls him Boots so that might stick. I thought this would be perfect for a fathers day card. I used some of the free papers from cardmaking and papercraft this month too for the grass, so the card has been quite economic to make.

special birthday

Have been thinking of this card for months and now it's finally realised. It's my mum and my mother in laws 50th birthdays in June and August so this is the prototype for thier cards. I have printed the acetate and the topper from Joanna sheen Cd and just used gold mirricard and pearlescent paper matted underneath and the sentiment is a free stamp from a docrafts magazine printed in dark green ink. it was surprisingly simple, I panic with acetate it is too expensive to make mistakes with lol.

ATCs and Japanese ladies

I haven't been up to much this week, Having a two year is catching up with me and by the time he is tucked up in bed I am ready to go too. But I went to the max papercraft show at Bramall Lane today and picked up some stash and some inspiration so this aft I locked myself away for an hour and produced some bits and bobs. These were two of my creations, the ATC is embossed with white glitter embossing powder with a funky fairy decoupage on top, as my hubby has pointed out though it looks like you can peer at her cleavage, but he would think that. And the Japanese lady was inspired by the new papercraft inspirations magazine that arrived yesterday and some oriental papers I had knocking about.
I bought a couple of cute stamps today so I will be making some more cards this week with them I hope :)
