Happy Thanksgiving

We are celebrating Thanksgiving at Digi Choosday this week. I took inspiration for my card from the autumnal colours around Thanksgiving and coloured the Georgia digistamp, from the Bonbon Belles CD, with the season in mind. The large brown polkadot backing paper is from the love will flourish digi kit and it co-ordinated perfectly with the soft blue backing paper from the New Sugar Birdies kit. I have used a diecut shape from a papermania kit that seemed to just match perfectly :)
Join us at Digi Choosday where you are free to follow the challenge or make any card that takes your fancy, anything goes ;)

Die another day

The theme song this week at Songbird challenges is Die Another Day and we want you to use a die cut on your card. I had fun making this card using the gorgeous steampunk image from our sponsor Meljens Designs. I kept it monochrome using black and gold card, papers and ribbons and finished it off with a cute diecut snowflake embellishment. I like this image as an alternative Christmas card, hope you do to xxx

All about Craft

This week's challenge at Digi Choosday is all about craft, and I decided to make a sewing themed card. I love sewing, I can't do it but I love it lol. I made the backing paper using My Craft Studio and embellishments from Sugar Birdies (available here) I resized and tiled the button accross a polka dot paper and I think it looks quite cool. It goes to show just how versatile digi kits can be, if you don't have the right papers and things you can create your own :)
The image is Sew and Sew available here. I love her hairstyle lol

vintage

This week the challenge at charisma cardz is "vintage" so I had another go at colouring this cute stamp fairy image in with sepia tones. I think it has the look of a male card and it is almost Christmassy lol. I hope you join in the fun this week, and checkout the gorgeous DT makes!!

Celebrate!!

It's celebration time at Digi Choosday this week and my card features a must have at any celebration... bunting!! I took inspiration from the sentiment topper (available as part of a big bundle here) and decided to hang bunting across my card. I took a piece of hot pink a4 card (it has purple roses printed on it I've had it for ages but it seemed perfect for this) and I measured 1 inch in from each side and 2 inches in from the bottom and top edges. This gave the perfect space to hang my bunting, which is cut from lovely papers available here. The vibrant green paper is actually from a xmas digi kit but it works so well here, it looks summery I think lol! Can't wait to see all the gorgeous entries for this challenge, hop over to the challenge blog to see the amazing DT makes!!

Favourite song - songbird challenges

This week the songbird challenge is favourite song, which is so hard for me as I love music and I think is impossible to narrow it down to one favourite lol. I chose A-punk by Vampire Weekend mainly as I have been listening to them a lot recently, they make me smile. The digi stamp I used from our sponsor Pink Gem also makes me smile because it reminds me of my Jim, who is of course a punk in the making lol.
Can't wait to see the entries into this challenge, check out the rest of the DT makes they are amazing and we have a new team member this week as well :)

Digi Choosday - Autumn Colours

Yay Autumn! I love it despite the wind and rain, especially the colours so I really enjoyed this challenge. I have used Anya, a gorge digi stamp available from Polkadoodles. I attempted a cloudy background again, it seemed to suit the image, and I used an orange paper from the Emma Canning animals and nature kit. Hope you join us this week for the challenge as there's plenty of autumn inspiration right now (including fireworks tonight!!)
Thanks for stopping by,
