new card with FF stamp

I have used my forever friends stamp and attempted watercolouring for the first time. I think it may get addictive, if I only I could afford some lovely stamps now to play with. Well this is my latest creation destined for my hubby on valentines day.

Get well soon Jessica

I have been swamped for a few days as Jimmy, my little boy, is full of cold. But have jsut finished this card for my husbands cousin who broke her leg on Saturday playing hockey.Ouch!!! Hopefully it will cheer her up a bit whilst she is out of action missing uni. All I have used for this one is Anna Griffin stripey paper and some free stickers I got with a magazine a while ago and a little vellum butterfly just to finish it off.

my first ever challenge

This has been a week of firsts for me, I am such a noob :)
I entered this card into a floral challenge on Craft bubble today, all the cards in the gallery are amazing, I hope mine holds its own against the competition :) I've used all Laura Ashley papers and paper flowers and some sticky ribbon that was free with a magazine. Plus there is the added extra of my living room radiator in the background for extra definition, hopefully a plus.

I've discovered blog candy

I have been hopping around blogs all day getting to know more of what I have let myself in for and have discovered lots of lovely cards and crafts I am very jealous of everyones talents. I've also found out about blog candy and it is all very exciting to be part of it lol.
I found one stop card crafts on my travels and they are giving away blog candy as they have had 1000 views :)

Forever Friends for Mothers Day

My hubby bought me a subscription to Cardmaking and Papercraft for my birthday this month and the free gift was a load of Forever Friends goodies so I had a bit of a play around with them yesterday. Plus I bought a cropadile on Monday so everything will have eyelets in now no doubt :)
I went overboard with the purple but at least it is nice and shiny. and I think my mum will like :)

Hand drawn swirly doodles, I'm so proud

I had some spare time while Jim was at nursery and I made this card using a small square of Anna Griffin paper and some pretty red handmade paper I saved from a wedding invite I got from my cousin last year. The red paper is decorated with gold flowers and swirly vines so I had to try and carry that on up the side of the card. I was quite impressed with myself at the end of it :) I used a quickie glue pen and gold embossing powder over the pencil drawing. I think I might have to try it again but be a bit more adventurous next time. It just needs a sentiment so it might go in the thank you card pile.
