Merry Christmas!!!!!

This is a quick post and run as I have so much to do plus a horrible sickness bug that I am hoping is a 24 hour thing >_<
This weeks challenge at Polkadoodles Digi Choosday is Christmas birthdays, and I am totally qualified for this challenge as it is my husband's birthday on the 18th and my brother's on the 19th. I chose the Jock digi from the Emma Canning range and a backing paper from the sugar boys collection. It is a pretty simple card and layout but I think sometimes all you need to do is change one thing (like the card base dimensions) and you get an entirely new look.
Merry Christmas everyone and enjoy yourselves!!

Anything goes Charisma Cardz

It's anything goes at Charisma Cardz and I made my last Christmas card for 2013 using a cute Milk n Coffee stamp. I coloured the image with my promarkers and I actually used non-festive vintage papers which I think work quite well. My son gave it to his teacher and I think she liked it so job's a good un!

Only a week until Christmas and I have so much to do, it's my last day of school tomorrow so I can relax and get all the last minute things done when it is over :)

Hope you join in the fun xxx

HO HO HO!

This week the DT at digi choosday have made cards on the theme of ho, ho, ho and I couldn't resist using the cute santa owl from Christmas Joy. I have used this digi kit loads and not just because it is Christmas, I think it has a really good range of papers and embellishments, it is really versatile especially for the price!
So I didn't do much to the card, I cut a 6x6 card (although it technically isn't I don't know how they get away with saying it is on the pack) down to 6x5, I think it is quite effective for a small change. I added faux stitching with a white gel pen and red pearls to the owls hat for a bit of sparkle. I made a rolled rose with left over paper and added it with shop bought flowers which looks quite cool I think.
So join us over at digi choosday and share your creations. Oh and it's nearly christmas >_< so excited!!!

Food Glorious Food

I have made a gift box for the challenge at Digi Choosday this week, and have decorated it with a gingerbread lady topper from the Xmas Joy digi kit. The box is a silhouette cut file and it is perfect for a xmas gift for my son's teacher (filled with gingerbread) The DT creations are amazing as always so hop over to take a look and join in the fun!!

We wish you a Merry Christmas

I have used a very cool Christmas digi from our sponsor at Songbird Challenges, Kenny K for this challenge. I had a craft sale on Saturday and this was the first card to go :)
The papers are kaiser craft freebies from a magazine, they work so well with the image I think. Hop over to the challenge blog and take a look at the amazing DT work this week and join in the fun xxx

Distressed!!

At Charisma Cardz the challenge this week is distressed, I am not great at distress techniques and my photo doesn't pick up on the inked and crumpled backing paper I have used I don't think. I loved the gorgeous image from our sponsor Time for Tea, I coloured her in pastel shades and inked the edges in linen distress inks to tie it in with this weeks theme. Can't wait to see the entries this week :)

Talking of distress, I broke my toe this morning :( I had left my Cameo on the floor of my living room as I have been cutting out allsorts of Christmas things and as I was rushing around this morning I kicked it really hard. My Cameo is fine thank god but my toe is swollen and a really weird colour, and strapped to my other toe now :(  Ouch!

Digi Choosday - Christmas Cheer

I used the trusty and incredibly versatile Christmas Joy kit for the sentiment and backing paper. I coloured the cute Emma Canning digi Deer girl to match the traditional colours, and also a Christmas Jumper has to be festive green or gold doesn't it? I added a jingle bell to the card as an embellishment that is all about the Christmas cheer!!
I have been so busy these last few weeks preparing for two xmas fairs I have this coming weekend, this is one of the cards I'll be taking with me. I hope it goes ok, I have only ever sold my cards at tiny venues or to friends and I don't think I have enough to take with me, but it will be experience I suppose. Plus I get to buy Christmas presents from the other stalls lol!! I am all for buying handmade instead of highstreet at Christmas.

Hope you join in the fun at Digi Choosday this week, remember it is always anything goes ;)

Come and Get It Blog Hop - Christmas Month Long Challenge

I am so excited that my first challenge as part of the Come and Get It DT is a month long Christmas challenge and blog hop. My card features one of our sponsors images, it's Meljens Designs Gift Bow Fairy. I have coloured the fairy in pink and purple shade and paired it up with soft coloured papers for a contemporary Christmas card. I have used lots of my favourite glitter glue, so much in fact that the bottle split and I ended up with it in my hair :( I looked festive I suppose

So on to the exciting part of the blog hop, your next letter is L!!!!
