ooh new blogger :P

Not keen on new blogger, just got used to the old one. Oh well I'll give it a go lol.

I've not updated in a while, I've been making DT cards and have had a very big commission that I can't go into too much detail with at the moment but it has been keeping me busy :) I've made this cute new baby card today for a challenge on Sheffield crafters group on Facebook. It's the first time I've used this Lili of the valley stamp and I've had it since October so it was about time it had an outing. hope you like xxx

Spring showers and fluffy clouds

I had a bit of a cutting out day on my cameo yesterday, I cut loads of frames some picket fences which I love and fluffy clouds. Clouds are so hot right now, they are all over cards that I love at the moment so I had to use them.
The bunny image is a free Lili of the valley image from a magazine, I'm going to be sad when these run out but luckily I have quite a stash of Lili of the valley stamps :) The fence diecut is a freebie (yes I know amazing!) from Monica's creative room which is an excellent blog if you have a diecutting machine, and the cloud was a freebie from Silhouette. I've glittered the blue cloud paper behind the bunny with a glitter spray and added glitter glue to my clouds and some blue highlights.
I am entering this card into the following challenges
Simon Says Stamp - April Showers
Make it Monday Challenge
Papertake Weekly Challenge - April Showers
DYSU - Glitter and bling
Polka doodles - Pretty in pink

Phew, that's lots of challenges for me lol

Polka doodles blog hop winner!!

I can't believe it, I went on to Polkadoodles challenge blog today to see what the challenge was this week and found out I had got 3rd place in the blog hop. To say I'm chuffed is an understatement, I won a fab CD rom which is awesome as I love Polka Doodles artwork. Yay
I have been pretty busy this week with Jim off school but I've managed lots of colouring and will be putting some cards together this weekend if I get 5 minutes. Back to school Monday I cannot wait :P

Little girlie

I coloured this image in a while ago with my new promarkers and I used the finetips for the hair. I need to get used to them though because it's a bit of a disaster lol, mind you it's a mess which reminds me of my own hair so at least it's realistic :)
I'd like to enter this into these awsome challenges...
Lili's Little Fairies - Ribbons buttons and bows
I love promarkers - Spring time
Divas by Design -Anything Goes

Happy 80th Birthday

I made this card for my Grandad-in-law who is 80 this year and I struggled making it. Cards for men are difficult at the best of times and this one was extra special so my mind went totally blank. In fact the card above was actually changed slightly before I sent it but I forgot to take a photo of the finished card. I wasn't going to blog it but Polkadoodles challenge this week is for a big birthday card with a number on so I thought it must be fate lol
So I eventually took the flowers off the numbers and added one at each end of the bunting and added faux stitching around the letters with a dark brown fineliner. I went for a beach hut/garden shed feel with the wood effect paper that I love and I cut the bunting out of cloud patterned paper. Not my greatest card and certainly not what I pictured in my head but I hope he likes it :)

Desmet Designs Challenge - Pins and Needles

Hello

it's challenge number 2 at Desmet Designs and the the theme of the challenge is pins and needles. I had so much fun with this challenge and really stretched myself with the vintage papers and image. I tried to add a sepia touch to the sewing machine image and a bit of glitter and the roses were cut from my Silhouette machine I think they turned out ok :) The papers are Melody Ross and it's hard to see in the picture but they are textured and glittered, they are great.
So my ingredients for this card are:
Hope you like the card and don't forget to join in at Desmet Designs for this months challenge, can't wait to see all the entries
