two posts in two days...

so far so good...

I've made a card this evening, it's a bit bright I'm not sure of it to be honest but I'm trying to be a prolific blogger lol

I'm having some of my makes sold for me next weekend, well I hope they sell, no cards this time just some cup cake toppers and moustaches that slide on to straws so it looks like you have a 'tache every time you sip. simple but fun lol.

ok- Blog!

right New Years resolution and all that, I'm going to start blogging more. I've lost my mojo a bit so if I blog I have to make, and even if the end result is terrible I can justify all the money spent on craft last year because I've actually done some.
So anyhoo I made a card last night (I made a couple but this was the only nice one) I've tried a collage effect that I haven't really done before and I quite liked it. It could be better I stuck the Penny Black sticker straight onto the page and it was sooo sticky I couldn't get it off so had to just go with it. I'd rather of backed it and mounted it but there has to be at least one happy accident per card with me lol

spooky

So I thought I would make some Halloween sweetie bags for James and his friend and found some freebies on the Polkadoodles blog. Well I haven't entered a challenge in forever but thought seeing as I've made these up I could have a go lol. I used a couple of digi stamps from the Sundae of Seasons cd as well and some paper from Daisy and Dandylion I have had for ages because to be honest Halloween isn't something I normally bother with. But when Jim saw the finished product he squee'd! The vampire one is his favourite apparently.
I wonder if they will stay in the bags until Halloween, probably not

some Christmassy stuff

I've added a few cards to Folksy this week and I've started making my Christmas cards. I don't like making Christmas cards though, they never look festive and you can't really sell them because you can get nice enough cards from the supermarket really cheap. Here are a few cards I've made using the toppers from my last post, the photos don't really show up the glitter and vellum or the backing papers I've used but you get the general gist I think.

Christmas again already?

So I've been asked to make lots of cards for a friend this year, I also wanted to find a christmas fair to hire a table at this year only problem is I have not made any cards yet and we are already in October. I have stamped and coloured a few images ready to be made into cards so at least it's a start. I bought a few Christmas stamps at Harrogate GNPE a few weeks ago and here are a couple of them coloured and mounted. The Christmas tree is a Kanban stamp from a very cute stamp set I bought last year.
I tweeted the tree picture to @letrasetuk today and they retweeted me, so who knows maybe a few of their followers will have a look, I feel honoured lol xxx

how neglected?

wow I haven't updated this blog in far too long, it's shameful. I am going to attempt to revive it though. I have been concentrating recently on my Facebook page and Folksy (where I managed to make a sale might I add lol) but I think I should start blog hopping again now Jim is at school and I have a bit more spare time. Here is a card I have on my facebook page made for a beach wedding, I'll add some more cards tomorrow that I have made for commission, and I will be hopping around for inspiration too xxx

mothers day cards

I struggled getting decent pics of these cards the sun was glareing in at me this morning and the camera wasn't impressed. I am going to set up a folksy shop to try and sell some of my cards, mostly the ones with my hand drawn designs on but I might try to sell some like these too. I am not sure they will sell at all they aren't fabulous but I am overrun with creations so I will trial it and see if anyone likes them :) I hope they do. My friend sells on Folksy too search for Sarah Westwood and buy her art it rocks (hopefully she will be illustrating my childrens book but that is yet another project I've got on the go lol)
I will post a link to my folksy shop when I set it all up, I may try to sell digi stamps through it if I work out how to do it. I sound like such a technophobe but I am a total geek really
